Stone Island is an Italian premium men's apparel brand

Stone Island is an Italian premium men's apparel brand from Ravarino famous for its compass patch that buttons on the upper sleeve of the left arm.

Massimo Osti (b. 1944; † 2005) started his first label C.P. Company in 1974. Stone Island was set as a secondary line or diffusion collection of his main tag. The brand specialized in surface treatment of fabrics and dyeing techniques. The business was bought by GFT in 1983, Osti abandoned in 1994, it is now run by Carlo Rivetti.

Originally the spots were green edged, badges from 2000 onwards became black edged. There are a run of rarer 'white badges' which were originally made on certain jackets to celebrate the millennium. The white badge is currently evident on coats which use materials that Stone Island develops themselves in-house. Novel jacket designs include the "Liquid Reflective" coat, that uses thousands of small shards of glass which reflect to light.

In the late 1990s the make has been popular among football enthusiast 'casuals' in England and throughout the rest of Europe. [2] The brand can also be seen in many soccer hooliganism based films, such as Green Street Hooligans and The Football Factory.

The Stone Island mens collection covers all of your wardrobe needs. Known for their innovative approach Stone Island continue to bring fresh ideas to mens fashion.

Stone Island was formed in 1982 by Art Director Massimo Osti because his passion for textile finishes and interest in clothing dyes, the brand now has its own colour lab and has developed over recipes. This creative approach to clothing design and construction has pushed the brand forwards to be the famous name it is today, for more info visit our website: Stone Island JeansStone Island TracksuitStone Island Jacket

A Course in Miracles and the Movies

Enjoy the following excerpt taken from a transcribed talk by  A Course in Miracles  teacher David Hoffmeister. It’s very much like when you go to a movie theatre, you are going to watch a movie. It's already been shot. It’s in the can. It’s being projected. You can't change what is happening in the movie. Well, they actually are coming out with movies now where you can, but for this metaphor, we are talking about the last decade of films, black and white. etc. You can't change it. People do talk to the screen. Like, Don't go down that hallway. Don't go in there! Don't go in there. Don't. Get away from him. You know it’s a bunch of images on a screen but they are talking to them as if they were real people. That's the mesmerism of this whole world; forget that you are dreaming, watching a movie and become so identified with the characters, you really believe that they are real characters that can hear you. Jesus talks of that in  A Cours

A Course in Miracles and Awakening by David Hoffmeister

Enjoy the following excerpt from a transcribed talk given by  A Course in Miracles  teacher David Hoffmeister. Like the Horatio Alger stories, "Pull yourself up from your disadvantaged past and make something of yourself." That was even an army slogan as I was growing up, "Be all that you can be." Oh great. I think I have better aspirations than going around gunning down people in other countries, but still it was the whole thing. It was no different than trying to improve your life, improve your circumstances, and all the work and all the energy that goes into striving to have a better life. All of it's for naught because still you are dreaming a dream and if you actually begin to grasp this, you will soon get over self-improvement. You will soon get over trying to make the world a better place and all the work; just think of the social services, end world hunger, what do you mean? Who invented world hunger? That's part of a dream. There's nuc
