Sample Position Paper Overview

1.) First Paragraph: Basic Summary of the committee and subject.

2) Second Paragraph: Background of the issue at hand. Address the top and where you hold on the topic

3.) Third Paragraph: Assessment of why previous actions have succeeded or Failed and it what capability. The focus should be on evaluation, not summarization.

4.) Fourth Paragraph: Explain your nation’s desired outcome and how You may achieve it. Be certain that you explain what your settlement will cover and strategies you’ll use to achieve them. Your answer set should shine here!

5.) Fifth Paragraph: Restate why the subject is important to your Country and the global community and how your answer set will try to solve the matter.

The outline of the five parts will help you out to a certain extent. Don't take this preparation lightly. You want to make sure you cover you basis. This will also help you write out your opening speech since you will already know why you are relevant to the topic and where your country holds on the matter. If your subject is complex, by way of example the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, then you might have to devote more space to the background of this topic.
