Load Of Goodness

After a recent visit to Care for Dogs to see the work we do, dog loving married couple Khun Pu and Khun Bomb decided to take positive action and make a generous donation. Their donation of 200kgs of dog food and some vital vaccines will go a long way in helping, not only our shelter dogs but also the many dogs on the street too.
Being animal lovers and dog owners themselves Khun Pu and Khun Bomb could see the important work that Care for Dogs does and drove all the way from Lamphun to make their donation. Donations such as these free up vital funds for Care for Dogs to invest in helping the 100s and 1000s of stray and abandoned dogs that roam our streets. Every single baht donated to Care for Dogs goes into improving the lives of these animals through education, prevention and positive action. buying a feeder
Care for Dogs welcomes and relies on any size of donation, large or small, for example 1 tin/can of wet food can help 15 to 20 dogs get their daily meds (we cunningly disguise our meds in a spoonful of wet food), a bag of doggy treats will provide our dogs with a tasty snack between meals or 200kgs of dried dog food will feed our dogs for almost a month. So next time you are in Tesco’s or Big C and you pass the pet food isle please spare a thought about our shelter dogs and the many homeless dogs and add a tin of dog food into your trolley I can guarantee you over 200 wagging tails of appreciation. read more here.
Care for Dogs would like to say a massive thank you to all of the Care for Dogs supporters out there that so generously help us with their time, donations and loving support. Also a special thank you goes out to Khun Pu and Khun Bomb for their donation on Friday and for coming all the way from Lamphun to deliver it, thanks guys

A Course in Miracles and the Movies

Enjoy the following excerpt taken from a transcribed talk by  A Course in Miracles  teacher David Hoffmeister. It’s very much like when you go to a movie theatre, you are going to watch a movie. It's already been shot. It’s in the can. It’s being projected. You can't change what is happening in the movie. Well, they actually are coming out with movies now where you can, but for this metaphor, we are talking about the last decade of films, black and white. etc. You can't change it. People do talk to the screen. Like, Don't go down that hallway. Don't go in there! Don't go in there. Don't. Get away from him. You know it’s a bunch of images on a screen but they are talking to them as if they were real people. That's the mesmerism of this whole world; forget that you are dreaming, watching a movie and become so identified with the characters, you really believe that they are real characters that can hear you. Jesus talks of that in  A Cours...

Church on the Hill

In the past when a family was looking for a Church on the Hill they would talk to their friends or maybe check the yellow pages for churches in their area. Then they might visit several of those churches on ths Hills until they find one they like. Church on the Hill Over the last several years Internet search engines have made tremendous improvements in what is called local search; that is the search for businesses or organizations in a specific geographical area. Now if you search for something and include a city in the search phrase you're likely to see results that include a map with some virtual push-pins in it. With one click you can get a phone number, driving directions, and even read reviews of the place of your choice. As a result, people have been ditching their yellow pages in droves and searching online for restaurants, retailers, and even churches. Today someone who is looking for a church - let's call him Bill - will most likely start his search o...
